Anastasia was a witch who wanted to give up her powers and live a normal life on earth. She married Genyo, and together they started a normal, happy suburban life together. Of course, Anastasia sometimes can't resist using her magic to help her get through the trials and tribulations of everyday life, and her powerful mother is still a bad witch. But what this really means for Anastasia is that she needs to channel her sperm-powered sex magic to fight off her psychotic lesbian mother and her army of crazed sex slaves and demons!

When your wife is a witch who thrives on your semen, life isn't quite as good as it sounds like it should be.

Kitty Media hasn't succumbed to monolingual releases yet and offers up a bilingual presentation of this series. Both the English and Japanese tracks are basic stereo mixes encoded at 192 kbps which feature precious little in terms of useful or even noticeable directionality. This isn't much of a surprise though as it is basically a decent sound mix that most adult anime releases have. Dialogue is clean and clear throughout and we had no problems with dropouts or distortions during regular playback.

Originally released in 2006, the transfer for this two episode OVA series is presented in its original full frame aspect ratio. With lots of bright yet not terribly vibrant colors and some fluid looking animation, Enspelled comes across well here but not without a few problems. The show exhibits some general background noise in many scenes, both in ones with lots of blues and oranges to them. There's a touch of edge cross coloration going on along some hairlines but it's fairly minimal and very infrequent. Colors in the foreground general remain solid and smooth though and overall it's a decent looking presentation that could have been slightly better.
Packaging:
The cover art for this generated some controversy when it first appeared as Ana's chest was noticeably larger than it was in the show itself. Thankfully this is the only actual alteration that was done as the show itself remains the way it was animated. The cover design showing the two sides of Ana looks good here with colorful outfit for both versions while being set against a magical-like background. A few headshots of her in the throws of ecstasy gives it a bit more oomph but it's easy to imagine this one being mistaken for a kids show at first glance. The back cover continues with the dark blues for the background while also providing a number of titillating shots from the show that aren't explicit. Add in a good naked shot of Ana with an amusing plant ready to pounce and it works well. The summary covers the basics while the technical grid provides quick and easy access to what you can expect in that department. No insert is included nor is there a reversible cover.
